It’s another issue of the Reconnect Recap! The bastard child of Reconnect, the games writing discovery platform.
Its been a week of nominating things, and a week of being upset by said nominations, but hey that’s life, so let’s get going with our own nominations for things you should read!

The Recap
Last week we covered the twentieth anniversary of Half Life 2, this week it’s another anniversary, Retro Dodo reflects on the twenty years since the Nintendo DS was launched and
walks us through the best Pokemon-like games for the Dual screen handheld.The reminders that we’re old don’t stop there, Time Extension, quickly becoming a fan favorite blog of mine, has an article on a modded tiny GameCube and Classic Game Revival dives deep into what made the original Grand Theft Auto so different, and the impact its had on the industry.
Time Extension strikes again with a piece outlining the Atari Smartwatch for gamers which failed it kickstarter in 2017 leaving many fans out of pocket and quite angry, and another piece on gaming bookmaker Bitmap Books on their dreams to work with Nintendo.
SuperJump Magazine, provides a very in depth piece on the power of the written narrative, in such games like Pentiment, and Psychonauts 2, to transport you to another location.
