The Cozy Games Article saved my Substack career. I hadn't written for almost 3 weeks and was considering quitting when I published it before bed, I woke up that morning to see it was rapidly approaching 1000 views, more than that though, out of the hundreds who read it only 2 people took it the wrong way and were offended or combative; we're a pretty solid bunch on this platform.
A big thanks to you again Alex for the exposure and for fostering a community here, we don't need no damn category!

Oh wow. Didn’t realise how close to throwing in the towel you were. Great that it worked out for you!
Thanks for mentioning the AIIG article on Is This Seat Taken?. It was written by Christena Maurer (https://substack.com/@cwmaurerwrites).
If anyone wants to do some writing about games (no pay, but maybe some glory), please check out https://indiegames.substack.com/p/record-demos-and-write-for-aiig
I agree, RetroDodo is a great site to get lost in. They have youtube videos of retro shops as well and I like watching these.
And I also agree that Scanlines is doing a greta job, writing thoughtful and memorable pieces with a fresh approach on here. Lovely summary!
