Reconnect Recap - w/e 21st September
A weekly recap of some of the best video game articles to feature on Reconnect.
Kia Ora folks
Bit of an eventful week for me, as of Friday I’m officially divorced and so I decided to celebrate it with a big party, so I spent the week cleaning and organising as well as getting my wedding cake remade for the event. So my guests and I celebrated with divorce cake. It tasted amazing. I also treated myself to a new tattoo and a new iPhone. So my right arm hurts and bit and my new slender iPhone Air keeps getting lost its that thin.
I did manage to steal some time this week to keep getting my ass handed to me in Fortnite as well as continuing to chip away at the new No Mans Sky content. So all is not lost.
Welcome to yet another edition of the Reconnect Recap, the weekly newsletter that recaps all the amazing work to feature on Reconnect in the past week.
This week we’re talking about Fallout, Arma, Silksong, game design, and the Steam Deck.
Let’s dig in!

Best on Deck: We all know the Steam Deck is a popular device and many different people are playing many different kind of games on it. But what games are predominantly being played on the deck, The GameDiscoverCo newsletter breaks down the games that grossed over $1m and over 50% of the reviews come from Steam Decks.

A good tutorial will make or break: GameWisdom breaks down what a well crafted tutorial can do for a new players experience in a game.
The remakes we need: As Scanlines says, remakes and remasters are here to stay, so let’s explore what we want to see remade, and remastered. I was looking forward to the KOTOR remake.
Cozy post-apocalypse: Glad I’m not the only one who found Fallout 4 to be quite a chill experience. I love listening to the music, it makes me very happy. The Saved Game explains their experience with building settlements and having a chill time in the Bethesda rpg.
