This week was chock full of excitement for the new Switch Announcement, but also equally chock full of news that had nothing to do with Nintendo. Lets get started shall we?

The Recap
Laet’s get the elephant in the room sorted first shall we, if you haven’t already seen the news, there is a new Switch Coming, Console Creatures has the breakdown of all the now known information.
Staying in the realm of handhelds, TimeExtension, has the details on an interview with Shuhei Yoshida where they discuss why the Sony PS Vita failed to take off.
Sticking with TimeExtension, we have news of an unreleased Atari 2600 game that was discovered and you can play it today, if you know how.
In a pair of odd stories today, we have a story about a much anticipated game not launching because the developer is going to prison (GamingOnLinux) and a mod for Doom that swaps out the guns for wine, and the arena’s for an Art Galley, via Retrododo.
Despite many people wishing that Concord stayed in 2024,
over at Multplier has an interesting guest interview where they discuss what it would have taken for Concord to turn it around. over at has some quite indepth analytics that show that reviews on Steam over time are getting more negative, however, 2024 wasn’t the worse year.We have some small, but telling, news about the Paragon / Renegade System showing up in Mass Effect 5, thanks to
of plus some extra fun news about Arcane, and Sony’s future video game adaptations to the screen.And Finally, we have our first look at a new game from ex-CDPR developers. Their work on Cyberpunk and the Witcher is finding new life in The Blood of the Dawnwalker (SeasonedGaming).
