π Reconnect Recap for w/e 22nd September '24
Connecting you to even more great games writing
Welcome all to yet another issue of the Reconnect Recap.
While the PS5 Pro costs $1,379 New Zealand dollars, iβd like to remind you that this newsletter is free, itβs also free to tell a friend about it and the site.
As always, Iβll be recapping some of the best articles that featured on Reconnect this week and something extra.
The Recap
Whilst Sony fans were being angry about how much a console, no one is forcing them to buy is, Sony fans were also rejoicing at how great a game the new Astrobot is, including Patrick Klepek and his two kids over on Crossplay.
Sadly the next bit of exciting gaming technology doesnβt exist (yet), but Retrododo has a render on what the love child of a Samsung Galaxy Flip and a Gameboy would look like.
Talking about video game technology, Past Meets Pixels explains how 3D Gaussian Splatting works and Overkill covers AMDβs upcoming FSR 4 which is an exciting upgrade to handhelds like the ASUS ROG and the Steamdeck (I upgraded to the OLED this week!!!!!).
Moving on from the technology and what we actually play on them, The Game Discover Co covers how Tactical Breach Wizards solve over 100k copies in a short time. LeeksCosyCorner talks about upcoming Copycat game π± and GameFile talks about a new publisher wanting to change the strategy genre.
Something Extra
If you still dontβ know who NoClip is Iβm getting very angry with you, they make video game documentaries and they always slap. I just finished watching this one on the music of Wipeout.
(Very Sony coded this week, despite me not owning any playstation stuffβ¦.)
